Soft Power in BRICS Business MagazineApril ′2014
Soft power is the central theme of the new issue of BRICS Business Magazine. The main features of the issue discuss which emerging economies are most adept at accumulating that power and strategically using it in a beneficial way, as well as the mistakes they make.
“We need to fully recognize and take account of the difference between ourselves and other people and bear in mind that we think and perceive information in different ways. In any communication there is a risk of pseudo-communication when the difference between the meaning conveyed and the meaning perceived is too great. Many developing nations suffer from this problem to varying degrees,” writes Ruben Vardanian, Chairman of the Editorial Board of BRICS Business Magazine in his opening remarks.
Among the experts of the issue is the famous economist Nouriel Roubini, President of the Republic of Korea Park Geun-hye, Brazil Defense Minister Celso Amorim, Founding Director of The Evian Group Jean-Pierre Lehmann, Vice President of Twitter Shailesh Rao, Nation Brands Index™ developer Simon Anholt, famous linguist Vladimir Plungian, and many others.
The new issue of BRICS Business Magazine will be distributed at major international economic forums in spring and summer of 2014.
