The web project Young Stars was launched by MEDIACRAT in fall 2011. The goal of the project is to support and promote young promising athletes aged from 8 to 25 and competing in various sporting disciplines. The project aims to stimulate comprehensive support of the young athletes both by the government institutions and commercial organizations. However, being a media platform, the project also pursues the goal of turning the participating athletes into popular media figures and newsmakers.
Alexei Nemov Became Leader of Young Stars Movement
April ′2013A prominent Russian gymnast, winner of four Olympic gold medals and the only Russian member of the Laureus World Sports Academy Alexei Nemov became leader of the Young Stars movement.
The main goal of the Young Stars project is to create an integrated media platform for young promising athletes who already do or soon will glorify Russia at sports arenas worldwide. As Alexei Nemov notes, the project is set to develop into a full-fledged social network in the world of sports and a regular support-generating resource for to the most talented participants.
The Young Stars project already unites over 2,300 young athletes residing in 83 regions of Russia – from Olympic champions and medalists to those who just make their first steps on the way to great sporting victories. Besides, over 13,000 registered users follow the news of the project.
Promsvyazbank Became General Partner of Young Stars
December ′2012Promsvyazbank has become the general partner of the Young Stars project launched by the BOLSHOI Sport magazine. On December 20, Promsvyazbank and MEDIACRAT held a press conference announcing the winners of an annual open poll conducted at the YoungStars.ru website.
According to the partners, the best athletes of the year were Sergei Mozgov and Anna Yanovskaya, ice-dancing champions at the First Youth Olympic Games. Promsvyazbank presented the winners with a cash prize of 300,000 roubles. The other award-winners, Maryana Naumova and Daniil Cherkasov, received valuable presents from adidas.
“Our partnership with the unique project Young Stars is a continuation of our strategy to promote youth sports in Russia. We consider that during the formative stage, sporting talent needs support, and this is no less important than helping international sports stars,” commented Promsvyazbank’s President Artem Konstandyan.

Young Stars to Hit 1,000 Participants
May ′2012The number of young athletes participating in the Young Stars project is approaching 1,000 people. They represent 185 municipalities and 68 regions of Russia. "I am taking part in this project, because I believe that you should try everything in your life," says Irina Titova (springboard diving). "I want to acquire new experience, and hopefully, also win in some of the contests."
The Young Stars project was launched by MEDIACRAT as a part of BolshoiSport.ru web portal. The ultimate goal of the project is to support and promote young aspiring athletes aged 8 to 25 competing in a wide range of disciplines. Each month there is an open internet voting with winners receiving presents from the partners of the project. The main tribute, an automobile, will be presented at the end of 2012.
