According to TNS Gallup Media, the semiannual audience of BOLSHOI Sport in Russia exceeds 1,225,800 readers.
BOLSHOI Sport magazine was launched at the end of 2005, on the eve of the Turin Olympics. Back then, few could have imagined that in just a few years Russia would itself host the Winter Games, and later would vie to host the FIFA World Cup.
As our publishing project has developed, so sport in Russia has grown into an area of significance to the state itself, blossoming into a popular, even essential, part of the life of the nation. Now, BOLSHOI Sport performs the valuable task of helping people navigate through sports in Russia.
Unlike most other sports publications on the media market, the magazine is published in a monthly format, which underpins our analytical approach to covering sports events, enriched by the inherent distance and thoughtfulness implied by this format. Such editorial concept makes our project interesting not just for classical sports fans, but for all those who simply want or need to be aware of everything that happens in the wider sporting arena.
Our readers include athletes themselves, their supporters, agents and managers, as well as a range of industry professionals for whom sport is one of the ways of communicating with their audiences. The readership also includes figures who are used to being “in the know” when it comes to fashionable and socially popular topics.

Alexei Nemov and BOLSHOI Sport Magazine Hosted a Gala Reception with the Support of Laureus Sport for Good Foundation
November ′2013On 31st October, a four-time Olympic champion, member of the Laureus World Sports Academy and Editor-in-Chief of BOLSHOI Sport magazine Alexei Nemov hosted a gala reception, Friends of BOLSHOI Sport, at the Vetoshny Art Center in Moscow.
Many great athletes of our time, including six-time Grand Slam champion Boris Becker, legend of Soviet sports Larisa Latynina, Olympic champions Vladimir Salnikov, Alexander Karelin, Tatiana Navka, Maria Kiseleva, Anastasia Ermakova, Pavel Kolobkov, Svetlana Romashina, Anna Chicherova, Angelika Timanina, Daria Korobova, Elvira Khasyanova, and others, as well as representatives of the sports, business, and media establishment gathered to show their support for the Russian Olympic team once more before the first home Winter Olympics in Sochi. The event was sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, Allianz Insurance, Promsvyazbank, Donstroy, and Metropol hotel.
But most importantly, the honoring of Russian athletes took place with the participation of Laureus, one of the most influential charity organizations in the world of sports, of which Alexei Nemov is currently the only Russian member. After organizing a large event in St. Petersburg in 2008, Laureus has not paid much attention to Russian athletes in recent years, consistently overlooking them at the annual Laureus World Sports Awards. Today, thanks to the efforts of Alexei Nemov and BOLSHOI Sport magazine, the official media partner of Laureus in Russia, this situation might change for the better.
A delegation arrived from London to Moscow for the event at the Vetoshny, consisting of two members of the Laureus World Sports Academy – Boris Becker and multi-time world rugby champion Sean Fitzpatrick, as well as Ned Wills, Global Director of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, and Tom Pitchon, Head of Programmes at Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
"As the initiator and main organizer of the event Friends of Big Sports, I set myself the task to promote sports-related charity initiatives in Russia,” said Alexei Nemov.
BOLSHOI Sport magazine, headed by Editor-in-Chief Alexei Nemov, has been published since late 2005. According to TNS Media, the publication’s semiannual readership in Russia reaches over a million people.

Worldwide charity movement, Laureus, of which Alexei Nemov is currently the only Russian member, will be the official partner of the "Friends of BOLSHOI Sport" event. It is expected that the guests of honor gracing the event will be Nemov's colleagues at the Laureus World Sports Academy – famous athletes from around the world.
"My friends will come together in Moscow on October 31 to show their continuous support for the charitable sports initiatives in Russia and the world," says Nemov.
BOLSHOI Sport magazine was launched in the Russian media market in late 2005. In the spring of 2013, Alexei Nemov became head of the publication. According to TNS Media Research, the publication's semiannual readership in Russia reaches nearly one million people.

The event where the Academy is expected to announce its plans is scheduled to take place in Moscow this autumn and will be co-hosted by BOLSHOI Sport magazine, whose Editor-in-Chief and four-time Olympic champion Alexei Nemov is the only Laureus Academy member in Russia. In the early 2013, the Laureus Academy granted BOLSHOI Sport the exclusive status of the Official Media Partner in Russia.
The event will be primarily attended by world renowned athletes and members of the Laureus World Sports Academy (including Boris Becker, Vitaly Klitschko, Franz Beckenbauer, Martina Navratilova, John McEnroe and others) as well as representatives of Russia’s political, business and sports elites.

BOLSHOI Sport's Editor-in-Chief Alexei Nemov Interviews Alina Kabaeva for the First Time in Years
May ′2013A prominent Russian gymnast, winner of four Olympic gold medals, the only Russian member of the Laureus World Sports Academy, leader of the Young Stars project and Editor-in-Chief of BOLSHOI Sport magazine, Alexei Nemov conducted his first interview in his new capacity as journalist.
Alexei’s interviewee was Alina Kabaeva – a fellow athlete and gold medallist of the Athens Olympic Games, now a member of Russian Parliament. The famous gymnast spoke openly and matter-of-factly about her rise to Olympic glory and her current busy schedule, about promoting sports for children as well as future and former champions. “She gave straightforward answers to all of my questions. I had a great time talking to someone I knew very well but in my new capacity. Alina was honest, she spoke from the heart, which made me very happy,” admitted Alexei Nemov after the interview that lasted one and half hours and will now be published in BOLSHOI Sport magazine’s June edition.
The famous Russian gymnast accepted the appointment as Editor-in-Chief of the magazine as of 1 June. The fact that this office is now occupied by the legendary athlete means that the magazine will significantly expand its activities and maintain greater presence at various sporting events. It is also more likely to initiate and support charitable projects at the federal level, which is particularly crucial on the eve of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. However, in addition to his role of Editor-in-Chief Alexei also plans to pursue his ambitions as a journalist and interview famous athletes and influential players representing both Russian and global sports industry – after all, many of them are his old friends.
BOLSHOI Sport magazine made its first appearance on the Russian media market in late 2005. According to TNS Gallup Media research, the semiannual audience of the publication in Russia exceeds 1 million readers.

For BOLSHOI Sport magazine and Young Stars movement the collaboration with Alexei Nemov means new level of activity related mainly to the launch and support of the nationwide charitable sports projects aimed primarily at young athletes.
In addition, the invitation for Alexei Nemov to become leader of BOLSHOI Sport is conducive to further development of the magazine’s cooperation with Laureus, one of the world’s most influential charity foundations. Earlier in March, BOLSHOI Sport became the Official Media Partner of Laureus in Russia.
The upcoming activities of Laureus in Russia, its joint initiatives with Alexei Nemov, BOLSHOI Sport magazine and Young Stars movement will be unveiled at the special Laureus press conference.
